Walkies
February 28th, 2003 | No Comments | Filed in OutdoorsToday we took some scouts up one of the smaller mountain-things near the Centre. In the usual Scottish way it rained, was windy, and the clouds came down to say hello to us. The kids seemed to enjoy it though, none of them complaining or saying they were about to die. In the afternoon we took the smaller scouts for a walk lower down along a forest track and back along the road. These kids were unusually cooperative and didn’t try to run off or attack us, instead contenting themselves with picking up stones and pointing out to us that the frogspawn we found was actually toadspawn (which is bigger than frogspawn).
It’d be nice if we didn’t have to take them on Archery tomorrow, or orienteering. Mind you, I’ve got my archery assessment next weekend so some practice would be good.
I must sync this diary with the web soon, it’s got a few entries in. Last time I tried my website wasn’t working.
