A traditional English BBQ

Had an excellent day. It started at the crack of Noon when we all awoke and congregated in my front room. While absorbing some telly Amy cooked up a giant bowl of bacon and many cups of tea and coffee. Once suitably booted up and ready to face the world (at approximately 3pm) we all went into town to buy some drink and supplies for the barbeque.
Despite there being torrential rain this morning, it stopped long enough for us to bbq our meat and gently warm some economy burgers before the skies opened again, forcing us inside to eat our burgers and kebabs.
Later, after watching several films and consuming alcohol it was time to play with the explosives. These are fireworks made by the same people from the last party I went to. The same fireworks that lept a whole 2 foot off the ground before exploding. Rather than death rockets, this time we had some innocent looking Roman Candles, and much to our surprise nothing untoward happened. They went fizz! bang! and made pretty patterns in the sky. Nobody leant out their windows to shout at us or anything.
